Asset management and control
Seawell places great emphasis on the prudent management and strict control of its assets. This process starts with securing the best terms for the purchase of materials and capital goods. It continues with optimising stock levels, careful storage, efficient maintenance routines and regular inspections. The outcome is maximising the life of equipment without compromising reliability of service.
Procurement
Seawell's purchasing team undertakes procurement for all drilling contractor services. Goods are purchased strictly in accordance with client and Seawell procurement policies and rules. In addition, Seawell has established an approved suppliers list and (through preferred status relationships) we ensure that the most efficient processes are adopted to deliver the lowest cost without compromising the quality of materials and parts sourced.
Oilfield equipment manufacturers (OEM)
For safety critical items, e.g. BOP parts & draw-works brakes, only approved OEM goods will be used. Quality and safety will never be compromised through our service.
Seawell will investigate and develop stocking agreements with the main equipment suppliers to ensure a minimum stock level for operation . Critical spares will be retained in local warehouses.
Inventory Management
Our system allows easy tracking of the procurement process and instant visibility of the actual stock holding levels - offshore or in Seawell's warehouse facilities. Seawell have an independent procurement and logistical system that can track all items from warehouse to worksite and then to disposal or repair.
