Imaging

Seawell provides two routes to obtaining 'live' diagnostic imagery downhole: a ground-breaking ultrasound 3D imaging tool which gives visual images of the conditions both inside and outside the well bore, and a range of downhole cameras

Our Well Performance Eye™ (WPE) has no moving parts and no optical elements requiring chemical cleaning or to work in an environment where well fluid is transparent. Using ultrasound, the WPE can provide real-time imagery at surface of conditions inside and outside the well bore.

Our range of downhole cameras also provides real-time imagery but uses conventional optics adapted for use in downhole conditions, with a patented, oil repellent surfactant to keep the lens clean and a patented light source.
