Gas tight plugs

Seawell's Oil tools division has developed a number of breakthrough technologies which provide a range of benefits to our clients throughout the life of a well.

The VMB retrievable gas-tight plug has reset the standard for V0-rated well barrier plugs. Unique design features enable multiple sets during a single trip, shorter running assemblies and through-tubing access - all adding to dramatically reduced deployment cycles, increased flexibility and greater security.

VMB technology is tested and certified to the ISO 14310 V0 standard, which requires testing with gas above and below the barrier element, cycling of pressure and temperature and the ability to remain completely leak free.
