Policies

The Seawell management system "The Compass" is a process based system, which includes core, support and management processes, requirements, plans and results.

Star Stem gauge carrier

The Star Stem is used to deploy Seawell's Star Gauges. It can replace a standard 5ft long piece of wireline stem. This facilitates running the Star Gauge every time the wireline is run instead of having to make separate gauge runs. The Star Stem can also be used when jarring is required

The Star Stem is available in two versions, Solo (housing one Star Gauge) and Duo (housing two). Both versions can be used in the wireline toolstring to deploy the Seawell Star Gauge.

Either version can replace a 5' section of wireline stem and this enables one or two StarGauges to be run on every wireline run.

Both StarStem versions house a free moving gauge with a spring either end to act as a shock absorber. The StarStem has slots in its lower end to allow the gauges in the StarStem Solo to be in direct contact with the well fluid when taking its readings.

The StarStem Duo utilises a compensated spring assembly housed in the top section of the tool.
