In addition to a wide and varied selection of traditional wireline units, Seawell offers a large fleet of units built on next-generation technology.
By using advanced bus technology, the winches can be fully remotely operated. This makes it possible to operate the wireline winch from the driller's cabin on the drill floor. It even enables a well engineer to take control of the winch from an onshore location if required. Of course, in every element of design and operation, there is a strong focus on safety and security.
Modular construction and thoughtful design
The winches are fully modularised. That means only the modules required to perform the current operation need to be included. For example, the cabin can be omitted if the choice is to run the winch from the drill floor. The power pack is also in a separate container which can be located separately from the other containers in order to maximize flexibility.
The ergonomics of the operator's cabin have been improved by reducing the noise level and redesigning the layout to allow for a better operational overview. The winches have every advanced option for cruise control and smart shut-down functionality. As with all other Seawell winches these are extremely versatile and can be used for all types of wireline operations, from mechanical slickline runs to extended heavy-duty logging runs. And, of course, they comply with the most recent versions of all relevant industry standards.
